Blends Well With: black pepper, clove, cardamon and ginger, as well as bergamot, frankincense, grapefruit, lavender, lemon, sweet orange, rosemary, tea tree, thyme and ylang ylang.
Citronella Essential Oil is noted for its efficiency in repelling the much dreaded mosquitoes that spread diseases like dengue fever, chikungunya, and yellow fever. Apart from being used on humans, this Essential oil is also used to help keep ticks away from livestock and pets. Citronella Essential Oil is often used in aromatherapy because it can aid in providing relief from anxiety. It can also help provide relief from menstrual cramps and muscle spasms.
  • For a Natural mosquito repellent: Combine one drop each of Citronella Oil, Lemongrass Oil and Eucalyptus Oil with one teaspoon of Virgin Coconut oil to make natural bug spray and rub on exposed skin. Reapply as needed.
  • You can diffuse Citronella Oil in your home using a diffuser to provide relief for menstrual cramps and muscle spasms
  • To make a natural room freshener, put a few drops of oil along with water into a spritzer bottle.
  • Before applying citronella oil to your skin, it should be diluted with a carrier oil, like coconut in a 1:1 ratio. Rub the mixture into your skin, or spray some on your clothes
  • As an Insect Potpourri : Place 2 cups of dried flowers or potpourri in a decorative bowl. Sprinkle: 10-15 drops of Citronella over the dried flowers. Place in any problem areas to discourage pests.
